Wayanad is one of the loveliest hill station of Kerala, that nestled among the mountains of Western Ghats. This green paradise is 76km away from the nearest seashore of Kozhikode. This heavenly place is a mix of hills, rocks, waterfalls, paddy fields and valleys which provide for exceptional adventure experience to visitors. Wayanad Heritage Museum is located at Ambalavayal is displaying an interesting collection of artifacts that shed light on history, culture and heritage of this areas. The museum has ancient collection of sculptures, stone weapons, tribal artifacts etc. There is a fine figure of the Goddess of fertility, Urvara, also displayed here. Remnants of Stone age tools and pottery found within the Muniyaras (Stone age tombs) are displayed here.
